Global minimum tax: Orban remains deaf to Macron's arguments

The meeting between the Head of State and Viktor Orban did not allow the Hungarian veto to be lifted on the minimum tax on large companies, decided at the OECD.

En the margins of the European summit, Emmanuel Macron wanted to organize a bilateral meeting with Viktor Orban to try to unblock a file that is close to his heart: the minimum tax on multinationals (15%), decided within the framework of the OECD . But Viktor Orban remains insensitive to the arguments of the French president. The Hungarian leader had certainly approved this tax at the OECD, but he argues that the Hungarian National Assembly, resulting from the April elections , is no longer in phase with this project.
