A Ten-Year-Old Child Arrested After Killing A Woman Who Argued With Her Mother

The mother and daughter were both arrested by Orlando police.

Orlando police also announced that the child's mother has been taken into custody. Several witnesses told authorities that the shooting occurred on the night of May 30. The child's mother and the victim, Lashun Denise Rodgers had started arguing outside a residential compound before coming to blows.

The child's mother allegedly triggered a physical altercation by hitting her interlocutor. The latter then responded by hitting her in the back, according to the arrest report. Lashun's boyfriend Denise Rodgers, present at the time of the altercation, told authorities that he had tried to come between the two women, without success.

The 10-year-old girl, also present during this argument, then fired twice with a firearm at Lashun Denise Rodgers. "She shouldn't have hit my mom," she allegedly shouted according to Lashun's boyfriend Denise Rodgers.
