Why did the US Congress write to Britney Spears?

On Instagram, Britney Spears revealed that she was contacted by two members of Congress to testify about her 13 years under guardianship.

Even over, Britney's guardianship continues to make people talk and this, to the highest peak of the American state. 

In an Instagram post, the singing star revealed that she received a letter from two congressmen, Democrats Charlie Crist and Eric Swalwell. "I am grateful that my story is being recognized . Because of this letter, I felt heard and like I mattered for the first time in my life!!! In a world where your own family goes against you, it's hard to find people who understand and show you empathy!!!!,” the singer captioned on Instagram.

In the letter, Democrats congratulated Britney Spears on winning her fight after 13 years  under the guardianship of her father . “We wanted to personally invite you and your attorney to meet with us in Congress at a time convenient for everyone, to describe in your own words how you got justice,” before clarifying that the story of the American star is "inspiring to many others who are unjustly silenced by the guardianship process.

For now, Britney Spears has not responded to this invitation , but intends to respond. "I want to help others in vulnerable situations" she concluded on Instagram.
