A man tried to break into singer Taylor Swift's home in New York by crashing his car into her apartment building

The 31-year-old then  tried unsuccessfully to force entry to a secure door, according  to the police report. 

The 31-year-old man was arrested and hospitalized for tests. Morgan Mank, a native of the state of Virginia, was arrested in New York on Friday January 28, after driving the wrong way on a street in the Tribeca district, in lower Manhattan, before rushing his car against the New York residence of American singer Taylor Swift.  He then "got out of his vehicle, approached the building and tried unsuccessfully to force entry to a secure door", details the police report.

Victims of numerous burglary attempts

This isn't the first time the pop star has been the target of bullies, "one of her biggest fears." In 2019, in Elle magazine , she wrote that there were "enough stalkers trying to break into [her] house", that she felt compelled to "prepare for something bad to happen". .

Another New York man, Roger Alvarado, has been arrested multiple times in recent years for attempting to break into Taylor Swift's Manhattan home.

In June 2019, a man from Iowa was arrested in the state of Rhode Island, where the singer has a house, with a baseball bat and plans to "visit" him.
